What does “All Natural” mean?
-We do not use synthetic fertilizers, herbacides, or pesticides. We use the theory that healthy soil leads to healthy plants leads to less disease/pests. We use organic fertilizer, compost, manure and lime to fertilize.
-We rotate our crops regularly.
-We do use some recycled plastic and landscape fabric as well as mulch to suppress weeds. This does generate some waste but, this is offset by not having to till, and water conservation.
-Our chickens are fed certified organic feed and are free range.
-Although we hire a tractor from time to time and also sometimes use a rototiller, the bulk of our work is done by hand making for very low emissions.
-Since we directly market our products we are directly accountable to the consumer and invite you to ask us about what we do.
